February 2010 - St Vincent & Grenadines Opt for UNITRACK

Logistics software provider Ideal Business Services Ltd are pleased to announce that St Vincent & the Grenadines Port Authority (SVGPA) have chosen their UNITRACK-P port management software solution to help manage all container and cargo operations at the Port of Kingstown and the nearby Campden Park Container Port.

St Vincent & Grenadines Opt for UNITRACK from IdealAt the Port of Kingstown cargo traffic is made up of containers and breakbulk goods with a limited amount of cement and lumber. In addition, vehicles - both new and refurbished models from Japan - are shipped in by dedicated car carriers on a monthly basis. Because it forms an integral part of the city that surrounds it, Port Kingstown has been obliged to respond to the space-hungry demands of the container shipping industry. As a result, shipping lines now mainly use the Campden Park Container Port, which is located just two and a half nautical miles along the coast from Kingstown - for the loading and unloading of containers.

UNITRACK-P is one of the family of systems provided by Ideal Business Services Ltd, who have over 20 years experience as an international developer of well established software solutions for shipping ports, container storage & repair depots, airports, warehousing, cold storage and related logistics industries, as well as bespoke stock control software solutions developed to each client's requirements.

Speaking from Ideal's Caribbean office, director Paul Parkinson commented, "We are delighted to be working with SVGPA and to be further strengthening our commitment to the Caribbean region.
