IBL Cold Stores receive BRC Approval
We are very pleased for our customer IBL Cold Stores, who have announced that they have gained British Retail Consortium Approval against the Global Standard for Storage & Distribution (Issue 2), with the widened certification scope allowing for:
“The Storage & Distribution of Chilled and Frozen product, Contract Blast Freeze, Defrost and Up Tempering”
IBL Cold Stores provides temperature controlled storage and distribution services, primarily to the food industry, from a four-acre site at Knowsley on the outskirts of Liverpool. This achievement is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the team at IBL and demonstrates further their commitment to providing services of the very highest standard.
Ideal and IBL have a very long relationship, during which time the Warehouse Management System (WMS) we developed for them has been constantly supported and redeveloped. Benefits of the WMS include:
- Seamless and rapid flow of information from receipt to dispatch of goods
- Accurate stock control
- Full product traceability
- Better coldstore / warehouse space utilisation
- Excellent communications with customers
Ian Desmonde, Executive Director at IBL commented, “Developing our Warehouse Management System with Ideal Business Services has been an integral part of our Continual Improvement Programme and it provides a platform from which we are able to deliver full traceability and transparency through online services of stock.”
